Cancer Support Group

Whether you are recently diagnosed with cancer or have been living in a stable balance for a while, you are welcome. We listen to one another and share experiences of living with cancer. If you want a place to speak freely about your journey, and find others who can resonate, please come find us. We meet on Zoom to accommodate our different immune capacities and occasionally gather in person when we’re able. Contact CC King at ccking.interplay@gmail.com for information and conversation; your questions are welcome.  1st and 3rd Mondays, 10am.

Caretaker Support Group

If you are taking care of a spouse, parent, friend, or family member, you know how exhausting it can be. Consider joining FP’s Caretakers’ Group. This confidential group has been meeting monthly for mutual support for over 3 years. In this group, you will be able to share the challenges you face as you take care of a loved one while trying to take care of yourself as well. Contact Rev. Elizabeth Ide at eide@firstparish.org or Diane Clapp at dianebamclapp@gmail.com for more information. 1st Mondays, 1:30-3:00pm.

Parent’s Support Group

This is an ongoing, confidential group for parents with a child, teen, or young adult who is struggling. Whether from depression and anxiety, transition to adulthood, or other challenges, this is a space for mutual support and sharing resources. The group meets twice monthly and is facilitated by lay leaders. Contact Rev. Elizabeth Ide at eide@firstparish.org  for more information. 2nd and 4th Mondays, 5-6pm.
